I have a Bachelor of Science degree in ecology and evolution biology from the University of Hawaiʻi, and I'm now working on my PhD in the same vein. My work as a biological researcher has involved fieldwork in boreal forests, arid grasslands, and tropical forests, as well as vast amounts of time in labs identifying and recording the species I have collected. My writing has been published in The Conversation, Natural History, American Forests, and History Today among others. Killing Juggernaut is my debut science fiction/literary novel in which the fates of a zealous ecologist, an oppressed 18-year-old, and a weary astronomer are linked by humanity’s last-ditch plan to save itself from the environmental destruction of the 22nd and 23rd centuries.
